It is with the heaviest of all hearts that I share with you Trooper's passing . . . although his mind and spirit was as proud as ever, Trooper's body was growing very tired and could no longer function as it needed to in order for him to live the quality of life he so deserved. He fought so valiantly over the last year but on 1/21/11 he needed me to help him return home . . . we all miss his presence every day and I am so honored to have had him by my side for the past 10 years. From off the street, to raising cats and puppies like a mother hen, to 5 years and countless hours lifting spirits in hospitals and nursing homes as an AKC Certified Therapy Animal, to showing pure, unconditional love and devotion each and every day, I was so very blessed to have him in my life. This sweet, sweet boy will remain forever etched in my heart and soul. Trooper's support team over the last year was comprised of family, friends, and team spirited vets and together he and I never could have made it without them. Trooper changed and enriched so many lives and he will always be by my side. Life is so short and he reminds all of us to live each day with love, passion and truth - to let those around us know how much we love them each and every day because tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone.

He was truly one dearly beloved spirit . . . and may he rest in peace with Jared and all our loved ones who are waiting for us on the other side!
